Orphanage information

Quanzhou is on the southern coast of Fujian Province and is a city with a rich cultural heritage. It was once the largest port in the Orient and is the beginning of the "Silk Road of the Sea." The Quanzhou metropolitan area has a population of 7.28 million, of which 680,000 people live in the central urban area of 15 square miles.

Only a few children have been adopted internationally from the Quanzhou orphanage. A family who visited in 2006 reported that there were only about 20 children in the orphanage at that time, most of them between the ages of 4 and 10.
