Orphanage information
Longyan Xinluo District Welfare Institute was established in 1985. According to one report, there are about 60 children in residence in this orphanage. It is about 300 miles away from Fuzhou and can be reached by bus or by train. The drive to Longyan takes about 5.5 hours over a good two-lane road.
Local products include timber, tobacco, rice wine, dried beancurd, dried sweet potato, and kumquat.
