Orphanage information
Quanzhou is on the southern coast of Fujian Province and is a city with a rich cultural heritage. It was once the largest port in the Orient and is the beginning of the "Silk Road of the Sea." The Quanzhou metropolitan area has a population of 7.28 million, of which 680,000 people live in the central urban area of 15 square miles.Only a few children have been adopted internationally from the Fengze orphanage in Quanzhou. A family who visited in 2008 reported that there were about 30 children in the orphanage at that time, most of them with special needs.
