It briefly covers scenic and historical sites in Fuzhou, folk customs and culture, tourism shopping, "delicate snacks" (brief descriptions of some famous local foods), hotels, travel agents, recreation and leisure, and transportation. We have detailed city maps of Fuzhou, Nanping and Xiamen. Each map is approximately 30" x 21." The Fuzhou map has streets and key locations noted in English and includes detailed maps of several parks and temples; very useful for families traveling to Fuzhou. The Xiamen map is also in English; the Nanping map is in Chinese (sorry, the Nanping map is sold out). These maps are a nice addition to your child's records if s/he is from one of these cities.

FujianKids is providing baby bouncers to some of the larger orphanages in Fujian Province, where the caretakers have little time to hold babies or interact with them. The bouncers are a way to provide some stimulation to these little ones. This program is a partnership with Angel Covers Project Tigger program. For $8, you can purchase a bouncer that will be shipped directly to an orphanage.

Orphanages have limited resources, and it's sometimes difficult to meet their children's clothing needs. Active toddlers wear out their clothes rather quickly, school age children need suitable clothing so they can fit in with their classmates, and winter coats are expensive. For $20, you can purchase a complete clothing outfit for an orphanage teenager or a pre-teen (including new underwear and shoes) or outfits for several younger children.

In rural areas, children who lose one or both parents usually don't go to an orphanage but are cared for by relatives. When these relatives are poor, they often cannot afford to pay for the orphaned child's education. These children may receive no education at all, or drop out of school at an early age.
