In most orphanages, there In most orphanages there are quite a few children with cerebral palsy. Orphanages usually do not have resources to purchase physical therapy equipment for these children, nor does that staff have appropriate training to use such equipment. FujianKids has established physical therapy centers at two orphanages.

Nanping Rehabilitation Center

This center includes a physical therapy unit and a special education classroom for disabled children who cannot attend public school.

Shaowu Therapy Center

This therapy center was established in 2004 by FujianKids. Holt International, one of our partners in providing orphanage assistance, arranged a visit to the orphanage by an American physical therapist, who spent several days training the staff on its use.
