These kids can hear now!

Below are some of the children who have received hearing aids through FujianKids. All are receiving additional training and education to enable them to use their hearing abilities to their fullest advantage.

This boy has complete hearing loss in his left ear, but a slight amount of residual hearing in his right ear. FujianKids provided him with a high powered hearing aid for his right ear, and with extensive speech therapy he is learning to speak. These three children received hearing aids from FujianKids and study in a classroom for deaf children that is also funded by FujianKids. The boy above (in blue) is learning cooking skills and will receive additional training to become a chef. The other two children are in FujianKids' foster care program.

Hearing aids provided by FujianKids allow this girl to hear well enough to attend public school and participate in dance class. FujianKids has also provided her with extensive speech therapy; as a result, she now speaks almost as clearly as a child with normal hearing.

Without the hearing aids provided by FujianKids donors, these children would never have had the opportunity to hear, to learn to speak, or to receive an education. There are many more orphanage children with hearing impairments in Fujian orphanages, and they desperately need your help. A hearing aid typically costs between $400 and $650.

Please consider helping by contributing to our hearing aid program. Even small donations will help us reach our goal of providing all hearing-impaired children in Fujian orphanages with the opportunity to lead a normal life. You may contribute to this program by sending a check or by making an online donation. Or you may contact us by email.
